After her session I asked a 7 year old if she would please draw me a picture to hang in the office while I worked with her younger brother. This was the result.

No explanation had been given to her of what I was doing by either myself or her mother.

Amazing!

What a gift life is.

thankyou! ThankYOU! thankyou!

5 Minute Story

MC Breathe 23.10..2014 5 Minute Story.. Crazy.. Meditation in the Workplace..Ignite Your Heart and MORE docx 3

Sometimes Life can feel like it’s getting the better of us.

I often hear from clients when they arrive in my office that that they feel deflated, defeated, worn down. That they have been distracted from their goals, or “fallen off the wagon” with their training, eating healthy or savings goals.

Some spend time with old friends or family that push their buttons, or feel surrounded by housemates and colleagues who are stuck in negativity. As a result they can feel drained, unmotivated and dejected- especially having spent so much time and energy to create the life they want.

I hear comments like “what’s the point?’ , “it’s all too much” “I feel so drained and exhausted”.

Sometimes we forget that every time we set a goal we set a challenge to the brain to step up. So it responds by creating challenges to ‘test’ your commitment to your new goal.

We forget that. And can begin to feel like- even believe – we are at the bottom of a deep pond where it is dark and slimey and smelly. Stagnant. It’s a happy place if you are built to live at the bottom of the pond.

Yet, we can forget we are meant to be somewhere else and begin to “try” to adapt to be one of the creatures at the bottom of the pond. They notice you are different and no matter how hard you ‘try’ you just never quite fit in.

The reason? You have forgotten you are out of your depth, who you truly are. The answer? Always look up.

Especially when you are thinking that the way others think of you is who you truly are, that what’s going on the outside is who you are on the inside.

When you find yourself feeling this way it is always important to look up.

What you focus on grows.  As you focus on the ray of light shining through the gloom, you feel it connect with the light within you…the desire to live a lighter life, a more energised and expansive life.

And where your eyes and heart focus, your energy moves you. As you swim upward the water gets clearer and warmer and the fish become more beautiful and friendlier because they are closer to the light.

As you keep swimming, following the ray of light streaming into the pond you find yourself thrillingly breathing at the surface, frolicking dolphin-like in the sunshine and clear water.

It’s here you can look around, see land and realise you can walk from the water into the world. You have that choice.

And You remember that there is a whole new world ready to be explored, new choices available and new ways of doing Life on offer. All by looking up and following the Light.

So in future, when you feel gloomy or stuck or stagnant…look for the light.

Be true to You,
Deb
