It’s All About Communication

Everything in Life is dependent on our ability to Communicate.

The quality of communication from cell to cell, tissue to tissue, organ to organ and our brain to the body denotes how healthy we are. If the communication is good, we are healthy. If there is a glitch in the communication, or a blockage, then we develop dis-ease.

What can cause the glitch or blockage? Research shows that stress is the No. 1 cause.

For this reason patients with heart conditions or other life threatening illnesses are advised to stay away from anything that stresses them: work, people/family/friends, the news, phones, to avoid emotional stress, which raises the blood pressure or excites the adrenal response- and sends us into ‘survival mode’.

When we are healthy we pride ourselves on how ‘strong’ we are, how well we can ‘handle stress’. How exhausting! What’s the point of using all this extra energy when you can let go of the emotional triggers and patterns of thinking and replace them with better options.

The most often reported blocks to healthy Communication by clients include difficulty in asking for what you want or saying what you mean.

Have you ever been stuck for words? Or become so emotional that thinking, let alone speaking creates a complete brain freeze?

Or felt so angry with someone that you were unable to say anything to them then developed a sore throat? Or ‘lost your voice’?

Communication can also be blocked when we ignore our inner, nagging voice – and then we wonder why others don’t listen to us? We are setting the precedent- if you don’t think you are worthy of being listened to why would anyone else?

Ways we do ignore our inner voice include using iPods to dull the sound, drinking more, eating more, exercising to excess, watching TV…all habits that motivational coach Dr Wayne Dyer called ‘numbing’.

He suggested that if you wanted stop ‘numbing’ yourself you can start to notice, hear and acknowledge your inner voice AND make time to reduce all the activities in your life that numb you, so you can step back into life and be accountable again.

What activities can You reduce/ stop today that are numbing you from life? They are limiting your ability to communicate and Be healthy, so start now.

Often clients will arrive for their appointment saying, “I was thinking about our session on the way over here Deb and couldn’t think of what to work with.” And then commented at the end of the session , when Communication is flowing again, “Wow! That’s so much more than I would have thought to talk about or sort through.”

Your brain knows what you need to heal yourself, and I love seeing and hearing the results from clients! Kinesiology/ neuro-training accesses your innate intelligence so you can get out of your own way, get your Life on track and Flowing again.

The clothes we wear, the music we listen to, our work and hobbies all communicate who we are to ourselves and the world.

I worked with a woman in my Macquarie Street practice 15 years ago who had developed an allergy to water – and she was a hairdresser! When I asked her if she liked what she did- she said she was ‘well over it. But what else would I do?”

Sometimes it’s a matter of doing what you really love doing, sometimes it’s a matter of releasing the blocks and stressors around what you are doing so you can do it even better. And love it! Which is what she did!

Anytime we are out of touch with expressing who we truly are creates imbalance in the body.

It starts with the way we think, then affects the way we feel and then creates symptoms in the body and our energy system. So with kinesiology/ neuro-training we are going to the source of the imbalance and the patterns it has created to get you back on track, better than ever.

Remember to Be kind. And True to you,
