Riding the Wave of Transformation
I was chatting with Men’s Health Coach and long time member of Deb’s Community Matt Farmer a few weeks ago about the current cultural obsession with Busyness.
In both men and women Busyness affects the brain, our hormones and then the way we think and feel, the way we react vs respond to life. It is created by a myriad of patterns that Neuro-training kinesiology and the work I do release with incredible effectiveness so you can have the energy to create Life Balance and nourishment.
There are many different types of busyness…the type of busyness we were discussing is the habit of filling the diary with “things to do” around the clock in an effort to be productive and the quest to be “perfect” based on society’s definition of “perfect”, rather than an internal belief that you are no longer ‘broken’, that You Are Enough as you are.
This got me thinking. How would your life be different if you began to believe that you were already perfect? Real stretch huh? What if you thought about all these layers of beliefs, fears, feelings, thoughts and habits programmed to remind you that you were less than perfect are like coats you’ve put on to protect you AND are NOW no longer necessary. How would you feel? Different? How different? Lighter, less stressed?
And that would be good, right? Right?
So start with looking at your diary for the next week and ask ” What can I let go of each day?” If it’s not an absolute “have to” then let it go. And breathe. Notice how your breathing becomes easier the lighter your load becomes.
Now schedule in some “sitting time” for 20 minutes a day preferrably in the morning. No phone, no emails or music. Sit in Nature…in your back yard, in the park or on the rocks near the beach. Direct contact with nature helps you to heal and calm more easily and quickly. If you prefer to sit in the car or the office and watch the park and the birds and the ocean, enJOY.
Do NOTHING but breathe… hands on the belly and breathe in for 4, hold for 2, out for 4, hold for 2…repeat 9 times. Head still chattering ? Place one hand on your forehead and another on the back of your head and repeat 9 times. Now notice how your body feels… Pain? Sadness? Guilt? Anger?
Keep breathing this way and notice the feelings moving through you. Imagine you are “vacuuming’ them out if you want to, then imagine sending the vacuum to the sun or the outer stratosphere to explode, cleanse and be destroyed. Remember on each out breath you are releasing these old feelings and inspiring (breathing in) new and better ways.
20 minutes can feel a long time at first so whenever you get distracted by your thoughts focus on the breathing.
Why do this? 20 minutes to yourself each day calms the nervous systems, getting and keeping you healthy and it stops you feeling like you are chasing the clock. It nourishes you from the inside out.
Pregnant…do it for longer? If you are running around it takes longer for bub to get with the new ‘calm’ programme…start now to prevent the symptoms of high adrenal babies/toddlers.
If you would like more information or help with this, just ask me.
All the best always,
Deb
