The Cycles of Nature the Seasons and Your Brain

nletter2562013

When you look at the gardens around you they will tell you a lot about the cycles of nature that are found deep in the hard drive of the brain, affecting us whether we are aware of it or not. Many of you are telling me you are happy to snuggle up indoors now that Winter is truly upon us, that you are reading or journaling more, that you are processing some deep emotions and old memories. This is the ‘depth’ of Winter as the brain sorts out, make sense of and discovers who you truly are, what you deeply want from Life, how you can be sustained AND thrive.

On the surface of things in Nature there appears to be little going on during Winter. Deep beneath the earth the work continues, like bulbs preparing themselves to shoot through the earth and flower in Spring.

Now that we have past the Winter Solstice the days are now getting longer in the Southern Hemisphere and visions of your life in Summer and beyond begin to form to draw you toward them. By Being Present and one step at a time, one foot in front of another just like Nik Wallenda crossing the Grand Canyon yesterday on a tightrope.

As with all great projects worthy of celebration on the Summer Solstice (just like Nik and the rest of the Northern Hemisphere have just experienced) it takes great vision, strategy, preparation and right action. We at the Winter Solstice are at the first 2 stages of this process.

Why is this talk of the Solstice so important? Everything I offer is about living the Life YOU are meant to, easily and gently. Following the cycles, seasons and their energies makes this a gentler and an easier process.

Are You Asking the Right Question?

So does asking the Right Question. If you are asking the same question you will get the same answer. So change your questions. For instance  “Why?” Keeps you stuck in the process. “What’s the Next Step?” keeps you moving forward, then you can look back once you are out of the quicksand and with the benefit of hindsight discover The Why.

I often hear clients ask, “ I am not sure whether they like me. Do you think they like me?” whether related to a person or after a job interview. Wrong question.

The Right Questions could be “ Is this Job what I am looking for? Does it meet my needs? Is it in support of Me and My Goals? Does this company actively Live the Values that are important to me?”

Similar questions can be asked of a prospective lover, life partner, friend  or colleague. “Is this someone that is in support of You? Of your goals? Do they Live their Values? Are they values you share? Is this someone that will fit the Job Description of the Role they are applying for in your Life? Or are you making them fit?”

You Being Happy and Fulfilled in a relationship- whether in your work or personal life – IS asking the Right Questions. It is about being clear about what fills you up so that you can be happy from the inside out. This attracts MORE fulfilment, MORE happiness. Those around you will notice what creates happiness in your life and want to provide more of it.

If you are having difficulty doing this, it might be time for you to attend Ignite Your Heart on Sunday July 7 in Coogee (scroll for more information). Or if you prefer, come in for a personal consultation. Just call or email me to book.

In the meantime, Be True to You.

All the best always,
